I think I've said recently that I've been thinking about going to New York recently and that still stands. I would love to go, it's just a matter of sorting out when and where to go and how much to pay. That and, of course, because I'm just some English bloke, all I know about New York is what I've seen on TV and in the movies, so I've no idea what I'd do when I got there, or where I'd go.

Handily this site has a great list of things to do on a New York sightseeing trip and is a good little place to start looking for guided tours and things to do. For an orgrnised New York sightseeing tour there are plenty of options for bus journeys round the city which take in all the major sights and things you'd want to see, and as a simple site to give you ideas, it certainly looks quite handy.

As well as the usual bus tour things, the site provides lots of vouchers to save a bit of money on visits to the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Bulding and all the places you've seen on CSI:NY and price-wise, the tours seem to be very good value; from as little as $34 you can get a great tour of the city with a guide that knows what's what and where to go.

If and when I get round to going, I'm going to look into a tour like this, they're usually very good.
